How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

In recent years, sustainable finance has emerged as a central concept at the convergence of finance and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This chapter synthesizes and systematically reviews the existing literature on blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in sustainable finance. The authors gathered the relevant studies from Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The authors applied co-occurrence mapping and thematic analysis with the help of VOS viewer and NVivo software. In this chapter, based on a systematic literature review of 509 studies, the findings revealed five thematic areas (i.e., ESG measurement and disclosure; tracking and trading of carbon footprint; renewable energy and circular economy; transparency, security, governance, and compliance; and social and ethical aspects) attracting research interest. The authors of this chapter also identified several challenges faced by sustainable finance in the contemporary business environment. The authors outlines, with a few remarks, general trends for the use of AI and BT in sustainable finance.
