How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract Uranium concentrations in the water and bottom sediments along the Uzynbulak creek at the Semipalatinsk Test Site are high, possibly implying anthropogenic contamination. These concentrations were measured by ICP-MS and the environmental mobility of uranium was determined by sequential extraction. Activity concentration in bottom sediments ranged from 20 to 6000 Bq/kg with a median of 156 Bq/kg, while that of water did not exceed 0.4 Bq/l. Uranium accumulated in sedimentary environments, up to 73% of which was bound to Fe and Mn oxides and hydroxides, while isotopic compositions indicated natural uranium. Anthropogenic uranium was not observed in the samples.
