How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Nowadays, gasoline engine vehicles are considered as one of the major contributors of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. In order to make transportation more environmentally friendly Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) have been proposed. However, with increase in number of PEVs, drawbacks associated with charging their batteries have appeared. To address these challenges, a new technology namely wireless charging system was recommended. This study is focused on analyzing two wireless techniques used for EV charging, i.e. magnetically coupled resonator and four-coil wireless power transfer system. Each method is tested within the MATLAB environment to examine how transfer distance, load, and frequency influence the efficiency of charging. The results reveal that magnetically coupled resonators system has about 92% of efficiency, when four-coil WPT reaches to 97%. Moreover, it was found that distance, frequency as well as load has to be kept constant, since any change in one of the parameters can degrade the performance of wireless charging system.
