How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A mechanism of the negative erosive burning (effect) in the channel of a rocket motor propellant charge is proposed. Reduction in the burning rate results from a decrease in the flame temperature due to conversion of the chemical reaction heat to the kinetic energy of the gas. There is a critical value of the Vilyunov number above which steady-state propellant combustion is impossible. Steady-state combustion is possible up to a factor of 1/e 1/2 decrease in the burning rate compared to the original value. An explanation is given for the weak manifestation of the negative erosion effect with a decrease in the initial propellant temperature: reducing the threshold rate of positive erosive burning narrows the region of negative erosive burning.
