How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies and the growing demand for interdisciplinary competencies have increased the relevance of integrating STEM approaches into computer science education. This study examines the effectiveness of integrating STEM technologies into the computer science curriculum to improve learner achievement, practical skills, and interdisciplinary competencies. The study utilized a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection. STEM-focused teaching strategies were introduced into computer science lessons, including project-based learning, problem-based learning, collaborative group work, interdisciplinary integration, and modeling and simulation. Digital tools, such as programming environments and 3D modeling applications, were used to support hands-on and experiential learning. Formative assessment, teacher observation, and learner learning analysis were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Quantitative results, presented as comparative histograms and radar charts, demonstrate positive improvements in all assessed indicators following the implementation of STEM technologies. Significant improvements were noted in algorithmic thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork, creativity, and interdisciplinary competencies. The most pronounced gains were recorded in collaboration and interdisciplinary learning skills, highlighting the effectiveness of project-based and group activities. Qualitative results further confirm increased learner engagement, motivation, and active participation in lessons integrated with STEM education.Analysis of learner projects and practical assignments revealed improved learning outcomes, including improved use of information technology tools, integration of mathematics and technology knowledge, and development of spatial thinking through 3D modeling. The use of formative assessment facilitated continuous feedback and improved learning throughout the learning process.Overall, the results demonstrate that integrating STEM technologies into the computer science curriculum promotes the development of both subject knowledge and essential 21st-century skills. The proposed approach creates an engaging, interdisciplinary, and practice-oriented learning environment that supports Learners’ cognitive, creative, and collaborative development and can serve as an effective model for contemporary computer science education.
