How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital technologies is transforming agricultural systems and creating new opportunities for improving production processes, particularly in emerging economies. This study provides an interdisciplinary empirical assessment of the relationship between agricultural production, digitalisation and investment activity in Kazakhstan. The analysis is based on official statistical data for 2010–2024 and combines descriptive, correlation and econometric analysis. To account for the time-series characteristics of the data and reduce the influence of common temporal trends, a trend-adjustment procedure is applied to the selected variables. The study distinguishes between national-level digitalisation indicators and agriculture-specific investment indicators to provide a more precise analytical framework for examining their relationship with agricultural production. The study contributes to the empirical literature by providing Kazakhstan-specific evidence on the relationship between agricultural production, digitalisation and investment activity within an interdisciplinary framework. It also highlights the importance of considering temporal trends and the sectoral specificity of indicators when analysing the interaction between digital transformation and agricultural development. The findings provide a basis for further research using longer time series and more agriculture-specific measures of digital technology adoption.
