How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Dithiocarbamates and their derivatives are promising sulfur-containing compounds used as flotation reagents in the flotation enrichment of mineral raw materials. Variations in the structure of the hydrocarbon substituent and the introduction of additional functional fragments make it possible to regulate their surface properties. The aim of this study was to synthesize new alkyl and dialkyl thioethers based on isopentyldithiocarbamates and to establish their structures using IR and NMR spectral methods. Results and discussion. The reaction of isopentylamine with carbon disulfide in an alkaline medium yielded disodium isopentylbis(dithiocarbamate) and sodium isopentyldithiocarbamate in 58% and 30% yields, respectively. The subsequent reaction of the salts with hexyl, heptyl, octyl, nonyl, and decyl bromides allowed the synthesis of a series of alkyl and dialkyl thioethers in 75–98% yields. The composition and structure of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Spectral characteristics indicate the presence of a dithiocarbamate fragment, an isopentyl substituent, and alkyl substituents of varying lengths. Conclusion. Synthetic conditions for a series of new isopentyldithiocarbamate thioethers have been developed. The synthesized isopentyldithiocarbamate thioethers with variable alkyl fragment lengths are of interest for further study of their flotation properties and the possibility of using them as flotation reagents.
