How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article explores the impact of universal and national values on the creation of intercultural communication competence and national identity. Universal human values, as a set of vital values that connect a person with society and form the unity of man and the world, have emerged along with the development of human civilization. One of the major principles of interaction across cultures is to take into consideration and respect cultural variations in communicating with representatives of other cultures. The goal of the study is to investigate the impact of universal and national values on intercultural communication and national identity. Anyone who wants to communicate effectively must have a thorough understanding of the interlocutor's culture and customs. In addition, engagement across different cultures involves flexibility and modification in the communication process. The success of communication directly depends on the degree of agreement and trust between its participants. The study is based on an analysis of the attitudes of Kazakhs residing in Kazakhstan, as well as foreign nationals, on national values and its impact on intercultural communication. The study employed the survey method. The purpose of the surveys was to find out how respondents felt about the country, national values and customs, universal values and customs, and the characteristics of intercultural and sociocultural interactions between representatives of various nations. The results demonstrated that national values are the basis for establishing intercultural communication competence, maintaining national identity (which determines the culture, religion, and traditions of the nation), ensuring social stability, and supporting spiritual integrity.
