How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The study compares classical and modern approaches to calculating the stability of quarry slopes and walls. It considers the methods of Fellenius, Bishop, Janbu, and Spencer, implemented in the Slide 2D (Rocscience) and «Stability of Quarry Slopes» software packages (NJSC company «Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University» Using the Syrymbett deposit as an example, numerical modeling of the stress-strain state of slopes was performed while varying the angles of inclination, lithological composition, and strength properties of the rock mass. Patterns in the change in the stability factor FoS depending on the structural and physical characteristics of the rock were identified. The calculation results showed the proximity of analytical and numerical solutions, which confirms the correctness of the selected models. The conclusions and recommendations obtained can be applied in the engineering design of stable quarry side profiles and in the prediction of deformation processes.
