How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The development of new dosage forms is a key objective in pharmaceutical technology, particularly in the creation of iodine-containing antiseptics. The aim of this study is to investigate the chemical compatibility of an iodine-containing compound with excipients commonly used in the formulation of liquid and solid dosage forms, as well as to determine the stability of the complex in aqueous media under thermal stress. Compatibility was assessed using UV-Vis spectroscopy by evaluating the influence of excipients on the absorption spectra of the iodophor. The thermal stability of the iodine complex was studied by monitoring changes in iodine content, taking into account that the iodophor is a complex with dextrin, a reducing sugar. It was found that gamma-cyclodextrin, glycerol, and citric acid exhibit the highest chemical compatibility with the iodophor in aqueous media and can be recommended for the development of liquid, semisolid, and solid dosage forms. The temperature stability of the complex was demonstrated: over six months, the molecular iodine content decreased by 14%, while the total iodine content remained unchanged. These findings represent an important step in the development of new pharmaceutical products with enhanced stability and reduced toxicity. The formulation of iodine-containing drugs will expand the scope of iodophor applications in the pharmaceutical industry, providing effective and safe medicinal products for medical use.
