How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article examines the prospects for the development of green hydrogen energy in the western regions of Kazakhstan, with a particular focus on water resource constraints. The relevance of the study is specified growing global interest in hydrogen as a key element of decarbonization strategies. The purpose of the research is to assess the relationship between hydrogen production and water availability in arid regions. The methodological basis includes analytical review, comparative analysis, and quantitative estimation of water consumption in electrolysis processes. The results show that large-scale hydrogen production requires significant water resources, which may become a limiting factor in regions with existing water scarcity, such as the Caspian region. The study also identifies the environmental and economic limitations of desalination as an alternative water source. It is concluded that the sustainable development of hydrogen energy in Kazakhstan requires integration with water resource management systems and coordinated policy approaches.
