How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) has become a significant component in the fundamental infrastructure of microgrids (MGs). It is therefore of crucial practical interest to coordinate PHEVs with the rest of the grid. Supply demand coordination is an essential way to attain high energy efficiency at the system level while satisfying the stability of the grid requirement. This problem is challenging due to the high uncertainty from both the demand and supply sides in the system. This paper proposes a PHEVs smart charging that can achieve optimal operation for MGs. The proposed power management strategy is designed to minimize the MG dependency on the main grid, and to charge PHEVs based on maximum employment of RERs. Two scenarios are considered: the first scenario is designed so that PHEVs are charged without optimization and, the second case where PHEVs is charged in a smart way with optimization in order to reduce MG dependency on the main grid. Modified IEEE 33-bus system is simulated by MATLAB to verify the performance of the proposed power management strategy. The off-line digital time-domain simulations and software verification show that energy exchange between MG and the main grid is reduced. Also, the RERs generation is increased in order to charge the PHEVs.
