How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The Karaganda coal basin is one of the most gas-rich areas. Safe and productive coal mining at the Dolinskaya Formation D6 seam depends not only on the methane content and distribution within the seam but also on the physical, mechanical, and permeability properties of the seam and surrounding rocks. The petrophysical properties, which determine the gas content and stability of mine workings, determine the mining and geological conditions of the seam. The aim of the research is to study the physical properties of host rocks and coals using a complex of geophysical methods of wells under their natural conditions, which reduces costs and increases the accuracy and reliability of research results. The practical value of the research is the possibility of using reliable and accurate results in geomechanical terms to justify the planning of mining operations in the explosive seam D6 - this includes calculations of gas content in extraction areas, development of measures to compact the stratification of the lower layer of the D6 seam, justification of the parameters of hydraulic fracturing and implementation of degassing measures, especially in the zone of tectonic faults. The scientific significance of this work lies in the justification and implementation of comprehensive geophysical studies in vertical exploratory boreholes to determine the physical properties of rocks and coals in natural conditions, study the nature of their changes within the mine field, and ensure safe mining operations. A relationship was established between the physical characteristics of the host rocks and the coal layers of the D6 seam; a database of borehole measurements was compiled to assess the nature of changes in physical properties within the Karaganda mine field; and recommendations for further research were provided.
