How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article examines global experience in the implementation and development of digital technologies in payment systems, as well as their impact on the transformation of financial infrastructure and economic stability. Based on an analysis of international reports from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and data from national regulators in the CIS countries, the article highlights the key stages of payment system digitalisation, as well as comparative characteristics of the level of digital maturity among countries. The study uses comparative and statistical analysis methods, as well as elements of a systematic approach to assessing the effectiveness of digital solutions in payment ecosystems. Particular attention is paid to the CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan), and an analysis of foreign experience in the introduction of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) in China, Nigeria, the European Union and the Bahamas is also provided. The results of the study demonstrate that the active introduction of digital payment technologies contributes to the growth of financial inclusion, reduces transaction costs and accelerates the integration of national economies into the global digital environment. Kazakhstan is demonstrating steady rates of digitalisation, occupying a leading position among CIS countries in the development of instant payments and the Digital Tenge project. The results confirm the hypothesis that the digitalisation of payment systems is a key factor in the promising development of the digital economy. The study highlights the need for further in-depth analysis of the impact of digital financial technologies on the sustainability of national payment ecosystems and international competitiveness.
