How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This paper examines the use of permanent magnet motors in electrical submersible pump systems for oil production. Permanent magnet motors and induction motors are compared in terms of energy efficiency, thermal performance, and operational reliability. The novelty of the study lies in the development of an integrated mathematical model of the “motor — pump” system, which combines electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic subsystems. The model was tested for a deep offshore well at the Y field using Schlumberger DesignPro. The simulation results show that the use of a permanent magnet motor significantly increases efficiency, reduces power consumption, and lowers the thermal load on the equipment compared with an induction motor. The practical significance of the study is associated with improved energy efficiency, longer overhaul intervals, and lower operating costs, which is especially important for deep and hightemperature wells.
