How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A BSTRACT Objectives: This study aimed to quantitatively and visually analyze global research trends in regenerative medicine, with a specific focus on oxidative stress-related pathophysiological mechanisms. Materials and Methods: A bibliometric analysis was conducted using data retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection for the period 2017–2026. Only articles and reviews published in English were included. Bibliographic data were analyzed using the bibliometrix package. Performance analysis and science mapping techniques were applied, including coauthorship, cocitation, and keyword co-occurrence analyses. Visualization tools were used to explore publication trends, collaboration networks, and thematic structures. Results: A total of 308 publications were included, comprising 143 original articles and 165 review papers. The annual scientific output showed a steady increase, with a peak observed in 2025. China was the most productive country, followed by Iran, Italy, South Korea, and the United States, with strong international collaboration networks. The Egyptian Knowledge Bank was identified as the most productive institution. The most influential publication was authored by Guo J (2022), with 1225 citations. Keyword analysis revealed oxidative stress as the central research theme, closely associated with mesenchymal stem cells, differentiation, inflammation, and apoptosis. Emerging research hotspots included extracellular vesicles, exosomes, and nanotechnology-based therapeutic approaches. Conclusions: The findings demonstrate a shift toward mechanistic and molecular-level research in regenerative medicine, with increasing emphasis on oxidative stress regulation and intercellular communication. Despite rapid scientific growth, gaps remain in the standardization of mechanistic pathways and clinical translation. Future research should focus on integrating molecular insights into targeted and precision-based regenerative therapies.
