Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the features of the state-legal regulation of the interfaith situation in modern conditions. The relevance of the topic is due to the modern challenges of the religious situation, the urgent need for further improvement of Kazakhstan’s legislation in a multi-confessional environment. The paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the religious situation, which requires further improvement of the regulation of interfaith relations in the context of modernization of the spiritual life of the people of Kazakhstan. Special attention is paid to the main confessions of our country - Islam and Orthodoxy. Some trends are identified that require strengthening the functions of public administration and legislative strengthening of spiritual processes in the modern socio-cultural development of our country. Based on the analysis of national legislation, as well as the generalization of the opinions of scientists, practitioners and the results of research on the current religious situation, it can be concluded that interfaith harmony in Kazakhstan is based mainly on Islam and Orthodoxy. The main directions and problems of the religious policy of the state, the peculiarities of interaction between the state and the main faiths, the constitutional and legal regulation of the status of religious organizations at the present stage are considered. It also explores the complex relationship between law and religion, especially in the context of modernity and globalization. At the same time, it is emphasized that the preservation of religious dynamics in modern societies casts doubt on the idea of an absolute separation of law and religion. Some authors advocate a universal legal framework that is based on cultural diversity and recognizes the historical relationship between different legal traditions and religious beliefs, emphasizing the need to understand religion as a source of power and a factor contributing to the formation of legal ideologies.
