How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The study presents the results of the analysis of the clinical course of varicella in 221 children hospitalized in the Infection Center of the Regional Clinical Hospital of the Karaganda Region Health Department in 2020 – 2024. The structure of hospitalized patients with the verified diagnosis of varicella was dominated by children aged 3 to 6 years. The clinical picture of varicella was characterized by the development of asthenic vegetative syndrome in 58.8% of patients, manifested by weakness, fatigue, headache and myalgia. The premorbid background in more than half of the observed patients was burdened by various diseases, which contributed to the development of severe complications in the form of sepsis (generalized systemic inflammation) (3%), complications from the central nervous system (4%), complications from the respiratory system (37%), bacterial infections from the skin (56%). Widespread use of specific prevention in the form of vaccination is necessary. Vaccination against chickenpox is an effective method of prevention and requires wider implementation in pediatric practice.
