How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Introduction: The advancement of digital technologies is transforming the educational environment, with esports emerging as a prominent trend. This study explores the integration of esports with physical training to enhance students' athletic and leadership development. Objective: The study aims to analyze the impact of esports training on university students' leadership qualities, academic performance, and social skills, hypothesizing that structured esports programs improve these competencies. Methodology: A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 100 students (two groups of 50). Validated tools—MLQ Form 5X-Short (leadership) and Communication Skills Scale—were used. The 16-week program combined esports training with physical exercises. Results: The experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in transformational (p < 0.001) and developmental leadership (p < 0.001). A strong correlation was found between esports participation and communication skills (ρ = 0.68, p < 0.01). Academic performance (p < 0.05) and attendance (p < 0.05) also improved. Discussion: The findings align with prior research on gamified learning and leadership development but go further by demonstrating esports' role in academic engagement. Contrasting studies suggest physical activity alone enhances performance, yet this study highlights the added value of esports integration. Conclusions: The results confirm that esports, combined with physical training, fosters leadership, social skills, and academic success. This approach offers a promising framework for innovative educational strategies.
