How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article discusses the main mechanisms involved in the development of acne, including hypersecretion of sebum, follicular hyperkeratosis, proliferation of Cutibacterium acnes, and inflammatory response. Particular attention is given to the imbalance between prooxidant and antioxidant systems of the skin, which leads to excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), damage to cellular structures, and amplification of inflammatory processes. The findings demonstrate that increased levels of malondialdehyde and decreased activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, GSH) correlate with the severity of acne. Modern therapeutic approaches are also analyzed, including antioxidant therapy, cosmetological methods, and innovative developments in topical treatments. Data on the effectiveness of systemic antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, nanotechnology-based delivery systems, biotechnological complexes, and plant extracts with anti-inflammatory, seboregulatory, and regenerative properties are presented.
