How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

On May 19–20, 2026, the International Symposium “The Golden Horde as a Model of Steppe Civilization: History, Archaeology, Culture, and Identity” was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event brought together leading researchers from Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Mongolia, China, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, South Korea, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Germany, Austria, and other countries. The symposium focused on issues related to the ethnopolitical history of the Golden Horde, its place in Eurasian history, its material and spiritual heritage, source studies, diplomatic traditions, numismatics, archaeology, historical memory, and cultural continuity. Of particular significance was the symposium’s approach to the Golden Horde not only as a military and political power of the Middle Ages, but also as a complex civilizational model that connected West and East, the sedentary and nomadic worlds, and diverse cultural, religious, and intellectual traditions. The symposium served as an important platform for international scholarly dialogue and outlined new prospects for the study of the Jochi Ulus in the context of the history of the Eurasia.
