Abstract
Millet cultivation is recognized not only in Kazakhstan but worldwide as one of the important cereal crops. Millet is a highly resilient crop that plays a significant role in agriculture and in combating food insecurity. In recent years, its popularity has been reviving as consumers increasingly seek sustainable and nutrient-rich alternatives. International organizations and research institutes advocate expanding millet production and consumption through the introduction of new technologies and equipment in response to global food security challenges and climate change. The effect of growth regulators on millet yield and quality indicators in the Aktobe region has not been sufficiently studied. In this regard, there was a need to conduct field experiments in this area. Field experiments were carried out using the existing field and laboratory methods in the field of practice of "Kazakh Research Institute of horse breeding and feed production" LLP. The trials were arranged using a systematic design with three replications; the total plot area was 60 m², and the accounting area was 50 m². Observations of the onset of phenological stages, as well as measurements of plant growth and development (plant height and stand density), were carried out according to standard methodologies. This determined the necessity of conducting field trials under the specific conditions of this region. According to the results, millet yield under the traditional cultivation technology was 9.25 c/ha. The introduction of a biologized technology through the application of biopreparations increased yield indicators by 57% and 62.6%. In the variant treated with the Biosinergin biopreparation (biologized technology), feed unit yield reached 10.18 c/ha, while digestible protein amounted to 1.03 c/ha, exceeding the control by 31.35% and 41.09%, respectively. The highest increase in metabolizable energy was also observed in the biopreparation treatment: 5.05 GJ/ha or 89.38%. In the control variant (traditional technology), metabolizable energy was the lowest at 5.65 GJ/ha. The study demonstrated the strong potential of biologized millet cultivation technology for the Aktobe region.
