How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between digitalization and labor productivity in Kazakhstan's agricultural sector using regional data for the period 2018–2024. The analysis is based on official statistics obtained from the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Labor productivity was measured as the ratio of gross agricultural output to employment in agriculture, forestry, and fishing. The study applies descriptive statistics, comparative regional analysis, correlation analysis, and a Digitalization Index to evaluate the level of digital developmentacross regions. In addition, a regression model was estimated to assess the relationship between digitalization and agricultural labor productivity, while cluster and SWOT analyses were used to identify regional disparities, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with digital transformation. The results indicate substantial growth in agricultural output and labor productivity during the study period, accompanied by declining agricultural employment and significant improvements in Internet use and digital literacy. The regression analysis revealed a statistically significant relationship between digitalization and labor productivity, although productivity differences across regions remain influenced by additional economic, technological, and structural factors. The findings highlight considerable regional heterogeneity in digital development and agricultural performance. The study contributes to the existing literature by integrating digitalization and agricultural indicators within a unified regional analytical framework and provides policy recommendations aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure, improving digital skills, and promoting the adoption of digital technologies in Kazakhstan's agricultural sector.
