How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The mathematical modeling of the multi-mass mechanical component of drumtype flying shears used in metal rolling mills is considered. The aim of the study is to develop a mathematical model of the multi-mass mechanical component of drum-type flying shears, enabling the analysis of the system's dynamic characteristics and optimization of its parameters. A six-mass dynamic model, taking into account elasticity and damping in mechanical connections, has been developed for the drum-type shears of the CWBRM-1700 rolling mill. A model for the generation of shock loads arising during strip cutting is proposed, and a model of a two-motor reversible DC electric drive with a thyristor converter is presented, including a multi-loop subordinate control system with PID-controllers for voltage, current, and speed. The system of differential equations is solved in MATLAB/ Simulink, and the adequacy of the model is confirmed by comparison with experimental data. The obtained results make it possible to evaluate the influence of elastic connections on the movement of the upper and lower drums, as well as to determine the magnitude of dynamic loads in the mechanical component. This study may be useful for specialists in the field of rolling mill automation and electromechanical systems design
