How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The epizootic situation regarding Trypanosomosis of camels in the Zhanaozen, Beineu and Tupkaragan districts of Mangistau region and the Shyielin, Kazalinsk, and Aral districts of Kyzylorda region was studied. The study used 2900 samples of camel blood serum taken from 20 epizootic units in six districts of the Mangistau and Kyzylorda regions. In the Mangistau region, 255 samples of camel blood serum were selected and studied. Antibodies to Trypanosoma evansi (T. evansi ) were detected in 2 samples at a serum dilution of 1:5. The infection rate among camels in the region was 0,78%. In the Kyzylorda region, 2645 samples of camel blood serum were tested. Antibodies to T. evansi were detected in 235 samples. The infection rate in the region was 8,88%. Serological testing showed a low seroprevalence rate in the Mangistau region – 0,78% (95% CI: 0.22–2.81). At the same time, seroprevalence was significantly higher in the Kyzylorda region, at 8,88% (95% CI: 7.86–10.03). In all cases, the p-values (Z-test, binomial test, Fisher's criterion) were below the significance level (p = 0,05), which indicates the statistical significance of the results obtained. According to molecular genetic studies, 237 seropositive CFT samples did not reveal the presence of the pathogen genome by PCR-RT. Epizootological monitoring data are necessary to study the prevalence of the disease and its risk factors, as well as to substantiate and evaluate the effectiveness of anti-epizootic measures for camel Trypanosomosis.
