How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The results of calculations of static stress changes on tectonic faults using the Coulomb stress transfer method are presented. The modeling was carried out using the Coulomb 3.3. software. The aim of the study is to identify areas with elevated Coulomb stress values within the active faults of the Northern Tien Shan. Particular attention is given to regions that experienced catastrophic earthquakes in the past. The results indicate that the maximum stress values (up to 5 bar) are concentrated in the northeastern segment of the Kaskelen fault, the southwestern segment of the Zailiysky fault, as well as along the South Dzhungarian and Altynemel faults. The obtained data suggest an increased probability of strong seismic events occurring in these zones in the future
