How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of archival materials, geological exploration data, and original datasets, the scale of accumulation of technogenic mineral formations (TMFs) within the Leninogorsk, Zyryanovsk, and Irtysh ore districts of Eastern Kazakhstan has been evaluated. Waste rock dumps, tailings storage facilities, and sludge impoundments are shown to contain significant concentrations of base and precious metals (Pb, Zn, Cu, Au, Ag), as well as associated critical elements (Cd, As, Sb, Te, In, etc.). The results substantiate the potential for partial reprocessing of technogenic materials as secondary mineral resources, while simultaneously reducing environmental risks. It is demonstrated that the cumulative metal resources contained in mill tailings reach hundreds of thousands of tonnes of base metals and tens of tonnes of precious metals. Technogenic objects of the region should therefore be considered as independent anthropogenic deposits with considerable resource and economic potential
