Раушангүлділер (Rosaceae) тұқымдасына жататын Geum aleppicum Жапония, Қытай, Моңғолия, Сібір және Қазақстанның таулы аймақтарында кең таралған, алайда оның фармакологиялық және фитохимиялық қасиеттері жеткілікті зерттелмеген. Дәстүрлі медицинада бұл түр асқазан-ішек және қабыну ауруларын емдеуде қолданылып, микробқа қарсы, антиоксиданттық және басқа да биологиялық белсенділіктерімен сипатталады. Құрамындағы фенолды қосылыстар мен органикалық қышқылдар оның фармацевтикалық әлеуетін негіздеп, ресми медицинада қолдану перспективаларын айқындайды.
