How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A BSTRACT Background: Bibliometric methods are widely used to map the structure, productivity, and impact of scientific literature. Objective: The objective of the study was to analyze the publication patterns, citation structure, source impact, authorship characteristics, and geographic distribution of the literature in the selected field. Materials and Methods: A bibliometric analysis was performed using PubMed as the sole database. The search retrieved 30,827 records, of which 9468 were retained after application of the human species filter. Bibliometric evaluation was conducted using bibliometrix and biblioshiny in RStudio. Results: The field showed sustained growth in annual scientific production and a fluctuating citation profile. Publications were concentrated in a limited set of core journals, with Technological Forecasting and Social Change and Research Policy occupying the leading positions. Source impact analysis confirmed the dominance of a small number of highly influential journals. Author analysis demonstrated a strongly unequal productivity structure, whereas the three-field plot revealed a stable and coherent intellectual framework. Country analysis highlighted broad international participation, although publication output remained concentrated in several leading nations. Conclusion: The field has developed into a mature and increasingly visible area of research characterized by publication growth, journal concentration, author inequality, and a defined intellectual structure.
