How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The aim of this work was to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of depressant additives and corrosion inhibitors based on maleic anhydride and its modified copolymers to improve the rheological properties of high-paraffin oils. Modern approaches to the synthesis and modification of maleic anhydride and its copolymers with α-olefins and alkene-containing monomers are considered, and the mechanisms of their action as pour point depressants and corrosion inhibitors are analyzed. Experimental studies included the preparation of surfactants using one-stage and two-stage methods involving esterification and subsequent amidation. The synthesized surfactants were tested as depressant additives. It was shown that the introduction of the SMATWEEN additive reduces the pour point of oils from the Kumkol and Zhetybai fields by 15 °C, and that of the Kumkol–Akshabulak oil blend by 21 °C. The obtained results confirm the prospects of using modified maleic anhydride copolymers for regulating the rheological properties of high-paraffin crude oils in the oil industry.
