How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A BSTRACT This article presents a detailed analysis of the herbal medicinal product market in the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2020 to 2024. The study examines key factors influencing market development, including assortment composition, the competitive landscape, retail sales dynamics, and the balance between imported and domestically produced herbal medicines. The findings show that only 54 herbal medicinal products with ATC codes are registered, representing 0.77% of all medicines, with domestic production remaining limited at around 15% of the market. The assortment is dominated by R05 cough and cold preparations, followed by sedatives, general tonics, and digestive system agents. Retail data indicate stable demand, with notable growth in solid dosage forms and a recent decline in liquid forms. The analysis highlights Kazakhstan’s continued dependence on foreign manufacturers and underscores the need to strengthen domestic phytopharmaceutical production to leverage the country’s significant botanical potential.
