How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article examines the problem of mathematical modeling of rabies transmission in an animal-human system using system dynamics. The relevance of the study is determined by the high epidemiological significance of the disease, the intersystemic nature of its spread, and the need to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of preventive veterinary and medical control measures. A system dynamics model is proposed that takes into account the interactions between animal populations that are sources of infection and the human population, the processes of vaccination, post-exposure prophylaxis, detection and isolation of infected animals, as well as the influence of organizational and external environmental factors. The structure of the relationships is formalized using an incidence matrix of variables, which is used to synthesize a system of nonlinear differential equations describing the dynamics of the epidemiological process. A qualitative analysis of the model's properties revealed the presence of steady states corresponding to both an epizootic-free regime and an infection-spreading scenario, as well as the non-negativity of solutions and the stability of the system under sufficiently intense preventive measures. The obtained results confirm the possibility of using the developed model for forecasting the epidemiological situation, assessing the effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures and supporting management decisions in the field of veterinary and sanitary-epidemiological safety.
