How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Improving the efficiency of engineering training and visualizing production processes through the integration of real-world equipment and digital interfaces is an urgent task. This article develops a cross-platform AR system for visualization and interaction with industrial equipment based on the Siemens S7-1500 controller within the framework of the Industry 4.0 concept in order to teach mechatronic systems. This mechatronic system is an analogue of industrial equipment. In this study, the main goal is to introduce augmented reality (AR) technology at the Festo booth, visualize the production process, and create an interactive learning environment for students/professionals. The article discusses the integration of the AR system with the Siemens controller and the Festo stand through the SNAP7 library. The steps for developing AR interfaces for HMD and HHD devices, a description of user interaction, fragments of program code, as well as the results of experimental tests of the system are presented. The developed AR system creates a practical basis for the implementation of immersive engineering education, increases the efficiency of visual perception of technical processes and can be used both in higher education institutions and enterprises
