How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study examines the problem of increasing labor productivity in agriculture in Kazakhstan, which is becoming especially relevant in the context of current economic and social challenges. Despite the fact that about 12% of the employed population works in this industry and about 40% of the total population lives in rural areas, the industry's contribution to the economy remains relatively very low – 3.9% of gross domestic product in 2023. This circumstance indicates low labor productivity with high availability of labor for the development of the agricultural sector and emphasizes the need to identify the causes affecting labor productivity in this industry and develop effective measures to improve it. The purpose of the study is to identify the causes of low labor productivity in agriculture and develop recommendations for improving it and ensuring the sustainable development of the industry. To achieve the purpose of the study, methods of economic and statistical analysis, comparative analysis, case analysis and system analysis were applied.
