How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article analyses the development of gender policy in Kazakhstan, with a focus on two key policy frameworks: Strategy for Gender Equality in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2006-2016 and the Concept of Family and Gender Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030 (2016 – present). These documents define the main directions that have shaped Kazakhstan’s gender policy over the past two decades. The study critically evaluates both frameworks, highlighting their achievements and limitations. It first assesses outcomes associated with the Strategy for Gender Equality and then examines the implementation of the current policy to clarify ongoing priorities and initiatives. The research draws on document analysis and statistical data. It also considers the effects of gender policy across multiple sectors, with particular attention to women’s representation in leadership positions.
