How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are one of the key pillars ensuring the stability, flexibility, and innovative development of the economy. By performing a number of important functions within the economic system, SMEs make a significant contribution to the creation of new jobs in the labor market, the balanced development of regional economies, the strengthening of the competitive environment, and the accelerated adoption of innovative technologies. Government support measures for SMEs are considered a key instrument for stimulating economic growth. To enhance the effectiveness of these measures, the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies plays a particularly important role. Through in-depth data analysis and process automation, AI accelerates effective decision-making and ensures more targeted support measures. Using the comparative method, the article examines the differences between the concepts of «AI» and «automation». The scientific works and approaches of domestic and foreign scholars and innovators in the field of AI are analyzed, and a comprehensive expert explanation of the AI concept is provided. In addition, the article extensively discusses the impact of AI on global economic development trends, as well as its potential applications and operating principles within the mechanisms of state support for SMEs in the Republic of Kazakhstan. An analysis is carried out on the experience of introducing AI technologies into bank credit scoring systems and into SME support programs implemented by «Baiterek» National Managing Holding JSC. Based on the research findings, the potential for developing AI within the existing system of state support is identified, and several concrete recommendations are proposed to address the identified issues.
