Abstract
The industrial site of the Karaganda coal basin is distinguished by the presence of a variety of surface engineering communications located within the zones of influence of underground mining for coal mining. When mining coal seams with a pillar mining system, the roof is usually controlled by its complete collapse, which leads to an inevitable violation of the natural stress state of the rock mass and the formation of a shear trough on the surface. Surface objects located within the zone of influence of mining, with a high degree of probability, can be seriously damaged or even destroyed. As an example, the article considers the consequences of mining the longwall 23K10-Z in the conditions of the Kirovskaya mine of STS-1 LLP, which mines coal underground in the Karaganda coal basin.
