How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Studies of air dust were carried out at one of the quarries of the Karaganda region, the main activity of which is the extraction, processing and enrichment of iron-manganese and polymetallic ores. The problem of dust in the work area during open-pit mining is relevant not only in the field of environmental safety, but also in the field of workplace safety. The purpose of the study is to assess the real dust load of the environment on the workers of the quarry and to develop recommendations on effective methods of dust suppression in open-pit mining. Based on a systematic approach, dust sources are classified according to various criteria. According to the data on the actual dust concentration in the workplace, which were determined by the gravimetric (weight) method, a comparative assessment of the actual and control dust loads was carried out. Methods of dust control are proposed to prevent the rise of dust into the air formed during blasting, excavation, loading, unloading and transportation operations.
