How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article examines the need to reduce emissions and minimize environmental impact at oil pumping station facilities. In particular, a quantitative assessment and comparative analysis of hydrocarbon emissions were carried out during oil storage in tanks with a fixed roof, with an internal floating roof (pontoon), and with a floating roof. The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of using floating roof tanks to reduce pollutant emissions compared with alternative designs. As a methodological basis, calculation methods based on existing regulatory documents were used, taking into account the physicochemical properties of oil, temperature fluctuations, operating conditions, and the design features of storage tanks. During the study, emissions for different types of tanks were calculated taking into account climatic and operational factors. It was determined that the use of tanks with floating roofs makes it possible to significantly reduce the volume of emissions by minimizing the gas space and reducing “breathing” losses. The greatest environmental effect is achieved when tanks are operated under conditions of significant temperature fluctuations. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of applying the obtained results when selecting technological solutions for oil storage, as well as in conducting industrial environmental monitoring and developing measures to reduce pollutant emissions.
