Abstract
In this work, the materials of archaeological research of the burial mound No. 5 of the Kuraily III burial mound – a monument of the Ilek River basin are introduced into scientific circulation. The funeral rite and objects of material culture allow us to attribute the materials of the studied complex to the era of early nomads. An essential factor is the location of the monument on the watershed of the river, typical of the specified period. Analogies to some categories of inventory are found among the materials of significant sites in the region, such as Syntas and Vostochno-Kurailinsky-I.
