Abstract
The article discusses the history of the study of archaeological monuments of Kargala district of Aktobe region. There are given data on the results of archaeological investigations, described the role and contribution of researchers of antiquities of the district. Kargaly district is rich in monuments of historical and cultural heritage of different times. The objects ranging from the Stone Age to the ethnographic present can be found here, which are of scientific interest. In 2022, according to the project “Creation of electronic database and mapping of historical and cultural heritage sites of Aktobe region (Kargaly and Martuk districts)” archaeological survey on the territory of Kargaly district was carried out. As a result were recorded 274 archaeological monuments.
