Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of postcranial skeletons from Early Iron Age burial grounds in the Ilek River basin. In particular, the morphological features of the osteological constitution of early nomads are described in detail. Based on a complex of traits, this population can be attributed to the steppe morphotype. The analyzed materials show certain similarities with series from sites in the basin of the Zhayik (Ural) River and its tributaries.
