How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article introduces into scientific circulation materials on a new Palaeolithic site in Central Kazakhstan – Batpak 17, which represents an open location of stone artifacts lying on the surface of a slope, associated with the bank of the Upper Pleistocene channel of the Batpak River. The Middle Palaeolithic group of items (series 3) is described in detail; based on the features of aeolian corrosion on the surfaces of the artifacts, this is the oldest group at the site. Among the tools, various knives, scrapers, tools with projections, and pointed implements predominate. Among the latter, insert forms of tools stand out, representing the hunting weapons of ancient humans. It is noted that the Middle Palaeolithic stone industry is close to the variant of typical Mousterian with local features, including the presence of bifacial tools and the widespread practice of splitting blanks in tool shaping.
