How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article discusses the chronology of the building horizons of the Otrar settlement. The first stratigraphic column of Otrar was proposed in a 1972 monograph by K. Akishev, K. Baipakov, L. Erzakovich. Important adjustments to the chronology and stratigraphy of the late medieval Otrar were made by L. Yerzakovich after large-scale excavations. The article presents arguments that allow dating the upper chronological frame of layer II – the time of the last citywide fire of Otrar in the 17th century. 1681–1683, revealed in horizon IV the first citywide fire of 1411, the second citywide fire of 1455, to connect the upper boundary of the tenth building horizon with the campaigns of the Arabs in the regions of the Middle Syrdarya 712/713–766–767.
