How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Modern approaches to creating smart cities are increasingly focused on developing digital infrastructure. At the same time, the important role of humans in ensuring the sustainability of the urban environment is emphasized. The article examines the concept of "smart people" as a key social element of the Smart City model. Special attention is paid to the characteristics of active and digitally competent residents, as well as their participation in city governance and digital transformation processes. The work is devoted to the study of how "smart people" contribute to the growth of the quality of life and the development of a comfortable, affordable and sustainable urban environment. An integrated comfortable living index based on survey data is used for the assessment. The city of Almaty is given as an example, as it shows how initiatives aimed at involving residents in the processes of digital transformation are being implemented. In addition, the paper examines the role of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and blockchain in the development of interaction between citizens and the urban ecosystem. The results highlight the need for strategic investments in human potential along with technological development to achieve balanced and sustainable urban growth.
