How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Currently, the implementation of ESG standards in Kazakhstan is at the stage of formation. There is an increase in the number of Kazakhstani companies that implement the principles of sustainable development and information disclosure. These are large companies whose products are focused on foreign markets, as well as those who attract financing in foreign capital markets. In this case, the goal for such companies is to meet the criteria and standards that their partners and investors adhere to. To what extent are domestic investors and issuers ready to switch to sustainable development instruments? How will the introduction of ESG standards (environmental friendliness, social responsibility and corporate governance) in general affect the financial system of Kazakhstan? The authors of the study shared their opinion on this issue. The main topic of the study was the implementation of ESG principles: global trends in financing sustainable development projects, regulatory development, corporate ESG strategies and business transformation, as well as best practices in the field of ESG information disclosure, available green financing tools, ESG projects in Central Asia and Kazakhstan and other relevant topics. In this article, we will look at how ESG factors affect the changing business models of companies in Kazakhstan and how local companies and investors can adapt to this new reality
