How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

In modern conditions of global competition and rapid technological development, the digitalization of science is becoming particularly important as a factor in increasing economic competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to determine and quantify the impact of the digitalization of the scientific sphere on the growth of the digital competitiveness of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The relevance of the topic is due to the need for an accelerated transition to a knowledge economy, where science and technology are the main sources of added value growth, the development of high-tech industries and investment attraction. Kazakhstan, despite the existence of digital development and scientific modernization strategies, faces a number of limitations: fragmented digital infrastructure, weak integration of science and business, insufficient level of digital competencies among scientific personnel. In the course of the study, a comparative analysis of the experience of the Republic of Korea was carried out, econometric modeling methods were applied, and an integral index of the digitalization of science was developed. The model revealed a stable positive relationship between the level of digitalization of scientific infrastructure and the country's position in the global ranking of digital competitiveness. It has been established that even with a moderate increase in digitalization, it is possible to significantly strengthen the innovation potential and increase the efficiency of research and development (R&D). The results confirm the need to implement a holistic government policy on the digital transformation of the scientific field, including process automation, the development of digital platforms, cooperation with business, and strengthening the digital skills of researchers. The findings can serve as a basis for the formation of strategies for scientific, technological and economic development of Kazakhstan in the context of global digital trends.
