Abstract
The information system for automated analysis of photoplethysmographic signals aimed at early diagnosis of cardiovascular dysfunctions has been developed within the research. The proposed system is based on the use of the phase plane method, which allows quantifiably assess the dynamic characteristics of photoplethysmographic signals and detect hidden changes in the cardiovascular system. The architecture of the system, the principles of forming phase portraits, methods for calculating diagnostic criteria (degree of chaos, area, fractal dimension), and the algorithm for automated generating of medical conclusion has been presented. The advantages of using the phase plane to overcome the limitations of existing pulse wave analysis methods and improve the efficiency of early diagnosis have been demonstrated.
