How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The research aims to strengthen sandy and eroded soils to combat desertification based on microbially induced calcium carbonate deposition (MICP). The most active urease strain was selected from 7 isolates isolated from soils by conductometric screening. This article presents data on the isolation and identification of ureolytic microorganisms from wastewater in Astana, Kazakhstan. The cultural and morphological characteristics of the strains are presented. Bio-cementation of model sand samples using this strain was carried out in laboratory conditions. It has been shown that microbiological technologies have a number of advantages: environmental friendliness, long-term effect, the ability to adapt to local conditions and the potential for restoring natural soil processes. The results confirmed the formation of cementing structures based on calcium carbonate. It is proved that the use of non-sterile reagents does not reduce the efficiency of the process, which simplifies and reduces the cost of the proposed method. The results obtained demonstrate the potential of using the Bacillus cereus strain to create an environmentally safe and economically feasible method for increasing the stability of sandy soils.
