How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Photometric methods were employed to study lesser-known asteroids at the Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute. Phase light curves were generated for six asteroids, from which their rotational periods were precisely determined to within thousandths of an hour. Concurrently, spectral observations of the asteroid Didymos were conducted at the Omarov Assy-Turgen Observatory (Kazakhstan, international code 217) during the DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission probe’s impact. These observations utilized a long-slit spectrograph equipped with volume-phase holographic grating (VPHG), mounted at the prime focus of the 1.5-meter aperture AZT-20 telescope. A total of 19 frames were acquired: 5 prior to impact and the remainder shortly after the DART spacecraft impacted with the surface of Dimorphos, the small satellite of Didymos. Our spectral observations appear to be unique among all documented observations of this experiment, providing evidence for the emergence of alkali metals (Na, Li, and K) after the DART probe’s impact on Dimorphos, in relative abundances consistent with their abundances in the Solar System.
